SSH on mobile has become second nature for many Termius users. It's part of their workflow. When something breaks at 2 AM or a quick config fix can't wait for the laptop, the phone becomes the terminal. But SFTP hasn't always kept up.

Traditional SFTP on mobile was designed for occasional use, with a simple two-pane interface that let users move files between only two local or remote devices at a time. It worked, but it had its limits.

Engineers often need to copy logs from one server, move assets to another, and keep an eye on several environments at once. The classic two-pane model wasn't built for that kind of multitasking. It could handle one connection, but not at the pace or with the flexibility engineers expect today.

A new approach to SFTP

We've redesigned SFTP on mobile to help you stay productive, fast, and flexible wherever you are.

• Multiple connections, side by side.
  Each SFTP connection now opens in its own tab. You can move between servers, transfer files across them, and keep every environment within reach. No reconnecting or losing context.

• Instant access from the terminal.
  File management is now just a tap away. You can switch between the terminal and SFTP, or back again, in one click. It's the quickest way yet to grab a log, upload a config, or check a file without breaking focus.

• A clear view of every transfer.
  The new Transfers tab gives you complete visibility into ongoing uploads and downloads. You can track progress, pause, resume, or retry when needed. Every transfer stays transparent and under your control.

• Integration with your mobile file system.
  Termius now connects directly with your device's storage. You can upload or download files and folders directly from your file system. It feels native, with no extra apps or setup required.

Now on Android

The new SFTP experience first arrived on iOS earlier this year. It's now available on Android too, bringing the same power and flexibility to every mobile user. Whether you're working from a phone or tablet, SFTP in Termius now feels faster, smarter, and built for real work.
